MailSprout is one person who got tired of the Google Workspace bill.

Hi, I'm Joe. I run Florida Sound Man LLC out of Tampa. MailSprout is my answer to the question every small-business owner I know has asked at some point: “Why am I paying Google $7 a head, every month, for what amounts to an email account?”

Who this is for

Local businesses that want every employee on a real name@yourbusiness.com instead of yourbusiness@gmail.com. Multi-domain operators who run a few brands and want one dashboard for all of them. People who don't think email should require an IT contractor.

What we run on

MailSprout runs on purpose-built email hosting infrastructure that handles sending, receiving, storage, spam filtering, and the deliverability work. Real mail servers, not a wrapper around someone else's consumer inbox. We're the dashboard and the step-by-step guides that make serious email infrastructure work for people who don't want to know what an MX record is.

Yes, you could rent a mail server yourself and pay less. If you're comfortable editing DNS at your registrar and reading sysadmin docs, you should. If you'd rather point your phone at a QR code, that's what MailSprout is.

How small “the team” actually is

One person. Me. Support emails to support@mailsprout.io go to my inbox and I read every one. That's the upside of buying from a one-person company. The downside is that I'm not 24/7. If it's 2am Eastern, you're emailing a person who's asleep. I usually reply within a business day.

White-glove setup, included on Growth

Growth customers ($30/mo) get a free, hands-on setup for their first domain. We hop on a screen-share, you stay logged in to your registrar and your old mail provider, and I drive the repeatable steps (DNS edits, the imapsync run, verification) while you approve anything sensitive: MFA, password changes, the DNS cutover itself.

Right now I run each one by hand, which means I cap it at a few per week. The plan is to make it a one-click option in the dashboard once I've done enough to know the pattern. To get on the list, email support@mailsprout.io with what you're migrating from. I've done end-to-end migrations from Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and Zoho; iCloud and generic IMAP sources (Fastmail, cPanel, GoDaddy email, etc.) follow the same flow but I'll walk you through what's different for your provider before we start.

How we make money

The subscription. $15, $30, or $50 a month depending on storage. That's it. We don't scan your mail, don't train ML on your content, don't sell data, don't run ads. The Privacy Policy spells out who else touches the data and what they do with it.
