Change an email account's password.
Maybe a password leaked, maybe an employee left, or maybe you just want a fresh one. Any email account on your domain can get a new password in about a minute from the dashboard. Here is how, plus the one thing to watch for afterward.

Open the email account
In your MailSprout dashboard, find the email account you want to change and open it. Each account has its own page where you manage its password and see its server settings.
Set a new password
You have two options. Click Regenerate password and we will create a strong random one for you, or choose to set your own if you would rather pick something. Either way, the account starts using the new password right away.
Re-add the account on your devices
Changing the password signs out any device or app that was using the old one for this account. That is expected, and it is what keeps an old password from working after you change it. Go to each device (phone, laptop, webmail) and update the saved password to the new one.
If you would like a refresher on entering the settings on a specific device, the device setup guides walk through iPhone, Android, Outlook, and Apple Mail step by step.
